I am fequently asked qiestions about Strombecker track types - Gen1, Gen2, Brass etc. There are actually 5 different types of Strombecter/Dowst track I have seen. I break it down into 3 catigories for somplicity.

• Brass
  • The first track was flat rail brass. Very hard to find. Ran great, but wore poorly.
• Generation 1 (Gen1)
  • The second replace the brass rail with tin rail
  • The third was the same as the second with the addition of an inside lip on turns.
• Generation 2 (Gen2)
  • The fourth kept the inside lip but went to the box steel rail inset in the track
  • The fifth dropped the inner lip
